Popular Shapes continue to be Circles and Ovals , whether as discs, medallions or hollow shapes.There were two key influences for this shape:orbiting planets and moons , or the 1960's and 1970's mood in fashion with big circular patterns and bright colours.
This year , there is also focus on organic shapes and magnifying elements in the natural world.

Patterns reflected nature's microscopic swirl's and shapes or architectural detailings on carvings, tiling and mosaics in ancient buildings.



Fourth Style and trend can't be ignored...It's COLOUR THEME ..

Pink stubbornly remains the most popular colour for retailers and consumers but is closely followed by blue ,the summer's favourite hue; tangerine and peach ; lemon - yellow ; green ; and lilac.

Turquoise and Coral remain hot for summer with coral edging up.

Light ,translucent stones , such as chalcedony are inreasingly being contrasted in designs. Kogolong, an untreated white opal, is growing popularity and featured in several collections by trend setting companies.

For Winter , trens can be set by mixing translucent stones with rich coloured gems such as emerald for a deeper contrasting look.
This winter , black is back in fashion and black and white jewels , mixing diamonds with onyx and dark gemstones , are tipped to be popular accesories..
